A father dies and returns as a tiny cavalier stuck in a bottle on his son's fireplace mantle. The son is a work-from-home computer programmer living in a tiny NY apartment. The tiny father spends his days writing his memoirs and generally annoying his son with speaking aloud his idealistic and self-serving auto-biography. The father occasionally drinks too much and flails about his bottle in a depressed stupor, cursing his fate. In order to calm his father down, the son fills his bathtub with water and gently rocks the bottle until his father falls asleep.
Circus Fantastique
Our final project for Viz Dev- design a main event for a circus in one week! Of course, designing a circus act means designing a circus, designing a background for the circus, designing circus clientele, workers, etc. It was a lot of fun!
This first street scene actually got into the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Competition. I didn't win any scholarships, but it will be hung up in the gallery in New York with the other 200 or so winners. Such an honor to be picked, and very exciting!
